How did you two meet?
We met in Grade 10, in High School in a small town outside of Ottawa.
When did you get engaged?
We got engaged on New Years Eve 2020.
How did Kyle propose to you?
Kyle proposed to me at Loon Lake, at the base of Mount Yamnuska. We were on our way to Canmore for the weekend to spend NYE there. He took a detour and wanted to play hockey and go skating on the frozen lake. He also had one of his good friends, also named Kyle, waiting in the bushes with his camera to capture the moment when he proposed. (See the photos at the end in the hockey jerseys they were wearing when he proposed!)
How is wedding planning going?
Wedding plans are coming along ! We are doing a rustic mountain theme, given we will be in Canmore. The last big item on the list is picking the food/caterer. That part of the wedding planning has been tricky thus far as lots of restaurants we were keen on, don’t cater weddings.
